More about this bike:
This bike has been meticulously prepared by Chris Boy of Motorcorse Performance, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. MCP performed the restoration in 2010. The original eprom Marelli Magneti ECU was replaced with a modern Cosworth / Pectal SQ6 ECU and Pi dash with a resultant markedly smoother and stronger performing engine. The modern ECU allows for excellent usable broad power band, smooth shifting and safe idle revs for the engine when in the pit. The original ECU, dash and wiring harness has been retained and comes with the bike. The bike is very fresh and tight, having only been ridden for parade laps for a total of 275 kms. The last full service including fluids, suspension, valves adjustment and belts was July 2021 at MCP. Maximum revs is approximately 12,500 rpm, however, this bike has not been revved over 10,900 rpm for the dyno run, and on track routinely shifted at maximum 10,000 rpm. The livery is the Troy Corse Power Horse Ducati. This Ducati 996RS is ready for track enjoyment or display collection for its beauty.
Extra parts included with the bike
– Rear stand
– Original wiring harness + Marelli Magneti ECU and dash; additional spare wiring harness, original KLS quickshifter, original FG Gubellini front and rear stands.
– Additional spares available upon request for price..
