MODEL INFORMATION

The FRR 125 (Factory Road Racer) was born under the technical direction of Harald Bartol, a legendary engineer known for his obsession with power delivery and thermodynamics.

Its debut (2003): KTM officially entered the 125cc World Championship with this model. It was the bike that launched the career of a young Casey Stoner, who achieved the brand’s first victory in Malaysia in 2003.

Riders such as Mika Kallio, Julián Simón, Tomoyoshi Koyama, and Marc Márquez (who raced it in 2008 and 2009) piloted this machine. Kallio came close to winning the title in 2005, narrowly losing to Thomas Lüthi.

The heart of the FRR 125 is a 124.8cc two-stroke, single-cylinder engine, defined by a bore and stroke of 54 x 54.5 mm. At its peak, this engine block was capable of delivering 54 to 55 hp at 13,000 rpm. Unlike its Italian competitors who used rotary valves, KTM specialized in reed valve intake, utilizing high-flow V-Force reed valve assemblies. Fuel delivery was managed by a 39 mm Keihin carburetor, assisted by an electronic solenoid injection system to optimize lubrication and throttle response at partial openings. Power Transmission and Management: Power transfer was achieved through a 6-speed cassette-type gearbox. The clutch was a multi-plate dry system with hydraulic actuation to ensure precise disengagement and prevent overheating.

More about this bike:This KTM FRR 125 it’s delivered in working condition. The bike was serviced and checked that all components work correctly. The engine was serviced and piston is brand new. Apparently, the bike does not have critical damages, only the typical scratches of a used race bike. We don’t have the certification of authenticity of the manufacturer but accoding the information provided by last owner and reputed technicians, this unit was used by T. Koyama on the year 2007 in 125gp class finishing in 3rd position. The 2D data acquisition is working but miss the suspension and brake sensors, we can locate and put on the bike by an extra cost if is necessary.
