Model Information:
The Harris Moto2 was developed by the renowned British engineering company Harris Performance for the inaugural Moto2 World Championship in 2010. With decades of experience designing Grand Prix and Superbike chassis, Harris applied its extensive expertise to create a highly sophisticated prototype capable of exploiting the spec Honda CBR600RR engine while focusing on the only area open to development under Moto2 regulations: the chassis.
The motorcycle featured a CNC-machined aluminium twin-spar frame, incorporating a distinctive tubular structure around the steering head to optimise rigidity, weight distribution and air intake efficiency. Geometry was fully adjustable, including steering head angle, triple clamp offset, swingarm pivot position and weight distribution, allowing engineers to tailor the chassis precisely to different circuits and rider preferences. This level of adjustability made the Harris one of the most technically advanced Moto2 projects of its generation.
Power was provided by the mandatory 599 cc Honda inline four-cylinder engine, producing approximately 130 hp and managed by the official HRC electronics package. The chassis was complemented by factory-spec Ohlins suspension, Brembo GP braking components, lightweight forged PVM/Marchesini wheels and an Akrapovic titanium exhaust system, resulting in a race-ready package weighing around 135 kg dry.
The Harris Moto2 made its World Championship debut with Kenny Noyes and was extensively developed alongside Aleix Espargaró during the Spanish CEV Championship, where it proved highly competitive. One of its greatest achievements came at the 2010 French Grand Prix, when Kenny Noyes secured pole position, demonstrating the competitiveness of the British chassis against the strongest manufacturers in the class.
Although manufacturers such as Kalex and Suter would eventually dominate the Moto2 category, the Harris remains an important milestone in the early development of the championship. Produced in limited numbers and representing one of the most ambitious British Moto2 projects ever undertaken, it is today regarded as a highly collectible Grand Prix prototype, combining advanced engineering, exceptional chassis development and a direct connection to the formative years of modern Moto2 class.
