MODEL INFORMATION

The KTM Moto2 also known as the KTM RC12 was a racing motorcycle developed by KTM to compete in the Moto2 World Championship from the 2017 season to the 2019 season.

In 2016 KTM announced an agreement with its suspension brand White Power Performance Systems to create a Moto2 motorcycle. The KTM Moto2 follows the classic KTM line by using a tubular steel chassis and aluminum swingarm, in addition to having Akrapovic exhausts made especially for the bike and Brembo brakes along with WP suspensions.​

Red Bull KTM Ajo was the team in charge of representing the brand in 2017 7​ with Miguel Oliveira and Brad Binder as its drivers.

In 2018, KTM lined up 5 bikes on the grid, the 2 bikes from Red Bull KTM Ajo were joined by the other private teams. The KTM has won several races during the Moto2 Honda era.

In 2019 they designed a KTM Moto2 for a Triumph engine, the good results did not come as quickly as in the Honda engine era but at the end of the season the good results began to be seen. However, KTM decided to abandon the Moto2 project to focus on developing completely its own motorcycles in the Moto3 and MotoGP categories.

Only 7-8 motorcycles of the Triumph model were produced, so there are relatively few units available and all of them are located in private collections or in KTM Motohall. This makes these units truly sought after.
