MODEL INFORMATION

The Suter MMX2 is a four-stroke race motorcycle developed for the World Championship of Moto2. This bike had a very prominent role in the Moto2 category, especially in its early years.

Suter quickly became the dominant brand, winning the Moto2 World Constructor’s Championship for three consecutive years: 2010, 2011, and 2012.

However, only in 2012, Suter achieved its greatest success by winning the Moto2 World Rider’s Championship with Marc Márquez, who would later become a multiple MotoGP champion. Márquez secured 9 wins and 13 podiums that season on a Suter MMX2 chassis. Suter achieved 96 podiums in Moto2.

the rise of Kalex since 2013 onwards, competition in Moto2 intensified, and the Kalex brand began to gain ground, eventually becoming the dominant chassis in the category. Suter saw team interest in their chassis rapidly decline. By 2015, only two teams used their chassis, and in 2016, the sole team using them withdrew after just two races. Although Suter achieved one last victory with Dominique Aegerter at Misano in 2017, the presence of brands like KTM, which proved competitive from the outset, further contributed to their decline. Ultimately, Suter announced its withdrawal from the Moto2 World Championship at the end of 2017, citing the lack of teams with winning riders to showcase the potential of their machines as one of the reasons.

More about this bike: This Suter MMX2 Honda it’s delivered in working condition. The brakes, electronics and other components are fully functional. However, we recommend service the bike before return to the track due was many years displayed in a private museum. All components and specifications belongs to the era… WP, Brembo, 2D, HRC, etc.. except the front master cylinder and front calipers that are not WGP model full specs. Also, miss some 2D data acquisition sensors like rear shock potentiometer that does not affect to the correct functioning. The engine is a standard unit with Suter Clutch, but we don’t know the real mileage. Regarding the racing history, it was used by Johann Zarco (season 2014) and team Caterham but we cannot provide the certify of authenticity of the team. We can ship the bike to worldwide at cost.
