MODEL INFORMATION

The KTM Moto3 is a four-stroke race motorcycle from KTM Racing Factory developed only for the World Championship of Moto3. This model is an exclusive “factory” bike totally different of the “client” bikes used on Championship cups.

The KTM RC250GP joined the Moto3 World Championship in 2014 with the first RC250 M32 model and evolved to the M39 model of 2019 on a similar basis. Logically, over the years the cycle part (frame and swingarm) evolved along with the engine, to make a more agile and powerful bike. In fact, it won several championships and all the riders highlighted that the KTM M3 offered great cornering and acceleration compared to its main rival (Honda).

However, was in 2020 when KTM develop a new bike totally different to the last model. The bike underwent a radical change in the chassis, engine and electronics. This model was named AM80 and evolved every 2 years with the AM81 and AM82 nomenclatures. The AM82 is the most developed model at the moment, with much improved aerodynamics, a much narrower engine than the previous ones and including MotoGP-style primary shaft start.

Several riders have won with these KTM Moto3 bikes. Jack Miller, Brad Binder, Pedro Acosta and many others throughout the Moto3 World Championship seasons.
