MODEL INFORMATION

The Suzuki RGV250 XR96 was a 250 cc two-stroke Grand Prix racing motorcycle manufactured by Suzuki Racing for racing purposes only. It was conceived to use in the World Championship by the Factory Team “Lucky Strike”. Debuted in 1995 as a development prototype, racing in the domestic All Japan Road Race Championship and entering some rounds in the World Championship in 1996/1997.

The motor is a two-stroke, liquid cooled, 70-degree V-twin. The gearbox is cassette-style; you can pull the gear cluster out with the motor in the frame.

Noriyasu Numata was a Grand Prix motorcycle road racer born in Chiba, Japan. He competed in 250cc Grand Prix motorcycle racing from 1995 to 1998. He was killed in an accident during tyre testing for Dunlop at Okayama International Circuit in Japan.

The bike has all specs of the era used in WGP. The engine was serviced using new factory components that came on the spare package.
